8. Write a letter to President Obama to save riverside trees

7. Save energy and water to save rivers

6. Sit on a riverbank and read Huckleberry Finn or one of my books

5. Schedule a Rogue River trip for the fall

4. Schedule a South Fork of the American Trip now

3. Plan to hike to Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon and hike across the Colorado River

2. Stroll the river in Old Town Sacramento

  1. Kat

I spent yesterday naked on a rock by a small southwestern river, the dogs sprawled across the sand or cooling it in the shade of coyote willows–does that count?

  2. Does it ever! Way to kick off Rivers Month, Kat!

  3. As posted on Kat’s FB page: #10, #9 and #8 done, #7 daily, #6 done (both Huck Finn, and Junction (which Kat turned me on to)), #5 again this Sept., #4 at least weekly, #3 on wish list, #2 done, but not recently, #1 done!
